Lovely story, nice images. I noticed a striking resemblance between Captain Hastings and Ann, they look like brother and sister , two beautiful brother and sister of course.

The story
Dublin, and a decision that arrives at breakfast wearing the wholly unreasonable appearance of having been obvious all along: Captain Arthur will not go back to London. He will stay — and open a detective agency of his own. A brass plate. An office above a stationer's. A row of freshly sharpened pencils. And a small glove-stealing spaniel named Pip, already eating the corner of the blotting paper.
